The crossroads of Kansas City’s technology and venture ecosystem
MidxMidwest (MXMW) is focused on creating the most productive interactions between the region’s early-stage tech founders, capital providers and corporate innovators. Launched in 2022 by Flyover Capital and Iron Prairie Ventures, the event brings together high-growth entrepreneurs, national investors, and corporate innovators to spotlight and accelerate the momentum of the middle of the country.
Each year, the event hosts 100 early-stage founders, 100 venture funds from across the U.S., and key ecosystem players for curated breakout sessions, over 500 pre-scheduled 1x1 meetings, and evening programming including a rooftop reception and small-group industry dinners.
With attendees from more than 30 states and a growing track record of capital formation and cross-sector collaboration, MXMW has become a cornerstone of entrepreneurship in the region. The event intentionally centers the middle of the country, elevating Kansas City’s role as a hub for venture connectivity.

MXMW is hosted at Hotel Kansas City, a historic gem located in the heart of downtown Kansas City.
This iconic building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, and its history dates back to the origin of the prestigious Kansas City Club.
MidxMidwest is hosted in the Tudor Ballroom with stairs and elevators connecting to the Presidents Ballroom and the Library Room just a floor down. We will also make use of the rooftop views for happy hour - hopefully outside if the weather permits!
Between sessions, feel free grab coffee, sit at the lounge, or visit the hotel restaurant, The Town Company, which honors local culinary traditions and is led by James Beard-nominated Executive Chef Johnny Leach.
The MidxMidwest room block will close on October 14th. Register as soon as possible in order to access the room block. There are general rooms available as well as many hotels in walking distance.
